No, not going to get away with that one am I?
I had some good news to help me through the surgery blues. My daughter and her family are coming over next month! Yay!! I get to play with my gorgeous grandaughter!
So, I figured I'd better finish this quilt..which was started 3.5 years ago.
It isn't perfect but I learned a lot. It's my first properly pieced quilt and I even worked out how to attach binding strips properly. Not quite up too mitred corners but you never know!
And...I have my next project planned...can't wait to share it with you, but for now you will have to wait a little bit. I need to get it right in my head first.
Stitching wise, I have a brand new favourite fabric dyer, Chromatic Alchemy. She very kindly overlaid my new Holmsey Design, A Little Bit of Magic on several of her fabrics for me in 'mock ups'. What do you think?
I love them all!
And we have a new Holmsey Hare Christmas ornament. I saw 3 Ships, featuring of course, Bartholomew Sheep and Bob the robin!
Right, I feel the need to do a little crochet! Have a lovely weekend everyone.

The last "mock up" is my favorite. They are all so pretty.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is so wonderful!
They are all so beautiful
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt x
I like the blue/purple fabric, but I'd rotate it 90degrees so the division was across the middle. I do love silhouette designs too.
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt finish and those fabrics (along with your design) is lovely.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is lovely. As for the stitching fabric, I like the green and Jo's idea of rotating the blue and purple. So glad you have your daughter's family 's visit to look forward to.
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt finish! Way to go! Hmmm...I really like mock-up #3. Know you are thrilled with the upcoming visit from your family.
ReplyDeleteNot sure about the spam comment above.....
