I don't think I need a spine. It's holding me back!

Baboom...do you get it lol?

And sadly on a more literal front, it is also very true.

About a week ago I though I had a kidney infection because of a dull ache in the small of my back.  I had the you-know-what tested and was waiting for results.  I went shopping yesterday but by the time I got home, the pain had spread to all my lower back and by 3 pm I could barely walk.

I managed to get to the Drs who gave me an injection of Tramadol (narcotic: did nothing for the pain but made me feel  happier about it) and tramadol tablets and I've been told I have to stay in bed for four days and lie flat.

Today I have mostly stayed in bed but it is getting worse. Now I can't bend forwards at all and am in pain even when I lie still and flat.

So this is day one: and I'm bored silly.  I can't even hold my stitching but thankfully I have the laptop.

I have heard from Grace and her post office are trying to find out what happened to the missing package.  I was so disappointed.  We go to so much effort to make someone's day a nice happy post day and well, whatever has happened to her parcel is a pure mystery.  Who on earth would take something out of an envelope and put a different letter into it?

Bizaar.

I will show you what I sent to Grace and there is an upside.  I get to plan something to make for her to cheer her up regarding her missing package.  So I'm doing the crafty thing: solve the problem with more crafting!
Two of my own Designs

Beads, trims and ribbon and a pack of fat quaters in lilacs and lavender; Grace's favourite colours.

Lavender evenweave, waterlily evenweave, a christmas tree panel and the beads again.

Small Christmas sheep ornie, LHN Santas Village Charts

A Christmas chart which was just really cute and cross stitch chart all about Tea, one of Grace's favourite things.

So you can see, I did put a lot of thought into it.  The charts were ordered from the USA, the beads from the Uk, the fat quarters from the Uk...so many things from so many different places without a hitch, until I put them all together!

Thank goodness I took a piccie as well if it helps Grace track them all down!

So now I am bedbound, in pain and have a lot of time on my hands.  I guess I had better get some designing done.

This is what I'm working on at the moment though I've had to put it on hold cus I haven't found a safe way to lie flat and stitch safely without fear of losing an eye ;-)

It is my new design on tea stained fabric this time.  Tea gives a sandy colour, as opposed to coffee which gives a brown colour.

Very different in style for me for me but I am really enjoying it.  I love being challenged and you certainly can't get bored when you design your own!  Hopefully I can show you the finished version soon.  Don't forget the free valentine's chart on the previous post...I will be taking it down in a few days so if you want it, save it quickly!

Have a wonderful week everyone xx And thank you all for your lovely comments xx I really enjoy reading them xxx
