Results Update

I just had a call from my cancer care nurse, Mary G.  My bone scan is all clear.  We still do not know what is causing the area of pain but the x ray shows my lungs to be clear and my bones are def. clear.  I have to go in next week for an examination and hopefully they will get to the bottom of it.

These were the biggees though.  I am sure you can imagine my relief at not having to give my children yet more bad news.  Cancer is a cruel, cruel condition and I guess my life (long may it be) will be filled with these ups and downs as we wait for results etc. I am a big girl, I can deal with it but my youngest is only 12 and has Aspergers: it is so hard trying to balance what he needs to know and deal with his emotional needs when he cannot even tell us what his emotional needs may be.

Thank you all for your wonderful words of support and prayer.  I cannot tell you how much they mean to me.
On a plus side, I have lost half a stone this week.....amazing what stress will do for the weight lol.

I will still be having a sort out and clear out.  I need to make memories now with my children whilst I can really enjoy them, rather than pretend to enjoy them whilst waiting for bad results to come through.

    That's great news that your bone scan was clear but I do hope you find a cause for your pain soon. I know how frustrating that can be.

    Did you know that we both are Mom's of a 12 year old with Asperger's? I can only imagine how difficult that must be trying to keep things as normal as possible. If you ever want an "ear" or chat please feel free to email me anytime :)

    That's such a good news to hear! My bone scan showed a little more deterioration but they are still calling it osteopenia, not osteoporosis... at this moment, anyway! Haven't actually 'heard' from the onco, he just allowed me to read the report online. Going thru a sad time right now, so will email you maybe Friday. Hugs!
