I can't believe how late my WIP update is. And this really isn't a case of it being worth the wait either I'm afraid. I have been so busy stitching for exchanges that I haven't had the chance to do much on my lovely seaside piece. Even if I added the christmas stitching to my WIP list, I can't show them. Anyway, I did get a little bit of stitching done on it and I am determined to try and fit it in with my Christmas stitching because I do enjoy it so much!
Please excuse the photo: my son has the camera so I had to use the one on the laptop which never seems to take very much of a likeness.
I had a lovely surprise in the post this week from Maggee (stitching devotee).
I wasn't expecting anything nice in the post this week other than a few bits and peices I have ordered for the boys for Christmas so when hubby handed me a parcel, I began to open it without even looking at it really, until the words ' It is ok to open this one' caught my eye.
I quickly scanned the envelope and realised it was from Maggee all the way over in the USA.
Look at what she sent me!
The most amazing, beautiful, fantastic Christmas fabric! And you guys know how much I love Christmas: put it into fabric and wow! A little bit of heaven.
There is everything from holly, angels, gingerbread men and snowflakes right throught to presents and poinsetta. I love it. I have a plan for some of it but will wait until the rest of it talks to me to work out what to do it. Wow. Thank you so much Maggee.
I am doing really well: I seem to be getting used to my new, healthy normal and the headology stuff is getting to where it needs to be for a healthy, productive life, thanks in no small part to the fact I am being creative, and I am blogging again. You guys have been amazing. Thank you. Julie commented on the last post about my new-found return to craftyness. And you are right Julie. I have lost the fear of not succeeding when I try new things and I try to fill each day with at least one item of crafty genious: sometimes things work out, sometimes they don't. But it doesn't matter: the fact I am filling each and every day with something I love means a life lived well, don't you think?
It hasn't all been bad. I have made some amazing friends, especially online. I have a new found love for life which hopefully will remain for a good long time.
Now, enough of this temperamental nonesense! My lovely daughter has the boys for an over night stay, so it is just me, my hubby, a pheasant and and expensive bottle of rioja.
Quickly before I go, if you look at my labels list, you will see RAK. Please click it, read it and then send me your details. 2012 has been such a hard year for many of us in different ways: so 2013 will be a year of healing and being nice to each other. I will be sending RAKS instead of exchanges so please, if you would like the chance to receive an RAK, go look at the post! Have a lovely weekend everyone xxxxx
