Stitchy Freebies and A Finish

A little cardigan for Alyssia

A campfire cardigan for my granddaughter.  I had to wing it a bit as I could only find patterns for adults.  And I didn't stand a chance with the hood so I made up the collar.  I found some black diamante buttons and et voila.  I wanted slightly flary sleeves and it has come out perfectly. I hope little miss likes it as much as I do!

Everyone is getting on with their Halloween stitching but not everyone is ready for All Hallow's Eve!

Poor old Fergus was fed up. He lay next to Holmsey and huffed and puffed and groaned and sighed as loudly as he could.

"Whatever's the matter Fergus?" Holmsey asked, as he was getting just as fed up with all the exaggerated moaning and groaning.

"I want to DO something. Anything! I'm sooooo bored!" Fergus complained.
"Ok Fergus. What would you like to do?"

"Well, I was watching some children yesterday and they were picking pumpkins and were cutting them up. They weren't even eating them. They gave them faces and then they put funny hats and coats on and played and played until it was dark. Can we play like that?"

Holmsey smiled. "I hope they didn't see you Fergus. Children playing in our woods are fine, but what if there had been grown ups? They can be very dangerous!"

"I was very careful!" Fergus replied reassuringly.

"Well," explained Holmsey. "The children were dressing up for something called Halloween. It isn't normally something we do here in the meadow or in the woods, but just this once I guess we can play along!"

And so they did.

Holmsey and Fergus's Halloween is free for one week only xx Just click on the title.

And despite a little delay while I get cat scan results etc (everything is still stable), our third wizard is released.  Please go to the free chart page (see labels at the top of the page) for the chart xx

Say hi to Lunar Solaris!

Remember the charts are free, but I am hoping some nice people will donate to my Mayo Roscommon Hospice Fund Raiser.

Right, the boys are at a car show so I'm going to make the most of the peace (after hovering, washing floors and making tea) and do something a little more creative.

Happy crafting!
