Going on a Bear Hunt, A Brave Shaver and a Sale!

I've been battling crochet...it's winning is all I can say ;-)  so no piccies yet but I have also been busy doing other things.

Firstly, we went on a Bear Hunt...or rather a Maebb's Cairn hunt  (Queen Maeve).

You would think finding an ancient burial cairn on top of a whopping big mountain would be easy right?

Wrong!

Firstly we found....

Some caves up a hill and in a hill....

Then we found......

And then we found.....

A ruined Abby...check out the figure of the head above the door!

And then we found........

Brother Walfrid...who apparently went over to Scotland and started the football team Celtic.....or so I'm told.  I would have glazed over as soon as the reference to football appeared.

And then we found....

The car park which leads to Maebb's cairn..but it was nearly 5 pm at this point and I didn't fancy getting stuck up there in the dark...so we will go and walk up it the next day we have a nice day.

We finished off by finding...no cairns and no bears but lots of white horses!

The perfect end to a lovely day.

Our blogging friend Sharon is doing an amazing thing to support me. She is going for the....

Challenge to support me.  Yup: she is going to get all her hair shaved off to raise money for a Cancer Charity.  Will you support her?  Any penny or cent will make all the difference in the global fight to find cures, treatments, easier ways to diagnose and to help people to learn to LIVE with cancer, day by day.
It's an amazing thing she is doing.  Just click HERE to go to the page with all the details and Sharon's story.  And Sharon...thank you xxx

While I'm busy saying naughty words to wool which doesn't listen to me,  here's the link to my etsy store sale which is on until the 1st of November xx

Happy Halloween!
