Edited: Gifted Gorgeousness, a giveaway and a SAL

Happy Friday the 15th!!!

Edited to show chart with clearer symbols

Yay, I not only remembered Gifted Gorgeous day  but I've also organised my blog to show my kindly gifted items and my wips!  And yes, I even have things to show! Start as you mean to go on was my motto and so far so good. Mind you it's only the first month isn't it!

Gifted Gorgeous is hosted by Jo over at Serendipitous Stitching

The first design I've done in my Gifted Gorgeous list is Kringle's  Crow by Threadwork Primitives.   The chart was a gift.  I'm so sorry, I can't remember who gave it to me so if it was you, thank you so much and feel free to shout out.

It was stitched on Belfast linen using threads that I won in a giveaway from Nancy at the Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe. They are without a doubt my most favourite cotton threads EVER.  I love them. The colours are vibrant and I have never, ever experienced a tangle or a knot in them.

And it is a finish.

I don't work weekends now so I'll 'finish-finish' it tomorrow.

And in the true spirit of Gifted Gorgeousness, I would like to pass this on to another stitcher. It's gently used (as in I sat on it last night..sorry) and I'll also throw in one of my charts as well.  Just comment if you would like it and I will do  a draw next Friday when I put my next blog post up.

I finished stitching the Free Holmsey Hare band sampler.  Please excuse the photo. I had to resort to the scanner again so it looks a bit glary and it didn't fit the scanner full on so I had to do it at an angle.

The threads the chart has been designed in are silks which are available from Thread Pikerz.

Eileen has charged a reduced rate for the pack and has given us a free Polar White skein.  I love these silks: I've had no problems with them at all: no tangles, no knots. Perfect and yes, I will def. use them again!

The whole design will be 63 stitches across and 158 stitches down.  There is no shading as such so if you want to use alternative colours, please feel free.  And I'd love to see your wips!

I'll release a new part every 15th.

Here is part one. They are jpegs so they should 'size up' if you click on them and safe.  Any issues, just email me on stitchersanon@yahoo.com and I will send the pdf to you.

There will also be a free pincushion chart at the end of each month to make sure you get the most from your silks.

Now, it's snowy and cold here in County Roscommon.  I've got plans this weekend to sit by the fire for as long as possible.  I  fancy a little crochet and some ornament making.  Workwise, I have a witch who needs a boob job and who wears clothes that are far to revealing for the Coven photograph. We're hoping this cold spell will make her put a cardigan on.  I also have a deer who is being allowed out to play in the next Holmsey's Hymm's ornament but who wants to have some bling.  Don't ask.  I'll share the results with you next Friday xx

Have a lovely weekend, keep warm, keep safe and keep stitching!
