Finishes and a Freebie

Howdy doody....
How are you all?  Good I hope!

Well, things are really busy here: DD is moving house this weekend so we are really busy helping and of course still doing 100 mile round trips to get her to her diabetes clinic and back.  DS is over from the UK for two weeks (one week gone already sadly) and so we are busy catching up.

Despite all the upheaval I have been very busy on the crafting front!

Firstly though, the living room is done and we have access to the TV again.  Phew, especially with Dr Who being on today!

You can tell my son is home; loo rolls everywhere.  He suffers with allergies big time so gave up on tissues and now just walks around with loo rolls which he leaves everywhere!

This isnt the best piccie..I just dont seem to have time to do anything much at the moment!

But..I did get to spend yesterday sewing.
Here is the one and only Santa's Village that I stitched. It is for an exchange but I don't think my recipient reads my blog so I should be safe.  It is level but I took the piccie at an angle.

I had a field day yesterday finishing things!

Here is my gingerbread piece all finished.  I love it.  It is my design (which can be bought rofl) but it is using Nancy's gingerbread pack of trims and thread.  If you buy them from her, you will get this chart for free (Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe).

The buttons and ric rac are all part of the gingerbread trim pack.  I love the colours of the deep ginger thread which the house is stitched with.  Just lovely.

I also put my Scrooge peice together.  I want it up all year around so found some lovely Victorian pink floral fabric and used one of Nancy's trims which came from a different set bought some time ago: it matches the colours in Scrooge's coat perfectly!

I am a huge fan of Nancy's shop, can you tell?

The fabric is level and straight...my victorian walls however are not so it doesnt lie completely straight against the wall but I don't care...it looks perfect and I am really pleased with how it turned out.

The trim wasn't colourfast so I took a tiny peice and put it on wet tissue and just gently dabbed it over areas of the line to 'age' it ...colour co-ordinated ageing!  It looks amazing in person.

Now, because things are so busy I will be a couple of days late with the SAL (I have to stitch it before I release it and I have a little bit to do)....to make up for it I am offering another Christmas freebie.

I stitched my little heart: My first prim piece! ( I think: not entirely sure what prim is to be honest)!

If you would like this chart on pdf FOR FREE,  please email me on stitcheranon@yahoo.co.uk.  As soon as I get a bit more time I will put in on the blog page.

Right...must go wash a floor, start the bread and get bedding for my daughter who will be staying with us for the next week, with my son.  And of course....DR WHO is on tonight!!!!

Yay!!!!!
