Stitchy Goodies

Hi everyone,

How are you all doing?

It was lovely and sunny here in Ireland until today: today it is a more traditional autumnal day: rain, rain and more blooming rain!  So today will be spent indoors finishing some bits and peices and sorting out the website.

I have had some amazing post this week which managed to overshadow the telephone bill perfectly.

Firstly, my Autumn exchange arrived from our very own blogging Lynda.  I had completely forgotten all about it since the sun was shining and the trees still have most of their leaves: it was an Indian summer for sure!

Lynda made me this:

!

It is so hard to get a picture which really does it justice but you see how perfect it is.  Pumpkins, blackbirds (here we get a lot of ravens so it still fits in), berries and the colours are just gorgeous.
I also was a lucky wee lass as Lynda also sent me these.

Charts, buttons (I LOVE BUTTONS), threads which are by Threadworx which I've never used before so that will be fun, and some hand dyed fabric from Picture This; it is called Mesa and is a beautiful peachy-pink colour!.  There was also autumnal ribbon, a beautiful chart and beads and a pair of Autumnal colours scissors with a cute G scissor Fob.

Thank you so much Lynda!!!

I also received a surprise parcel from Carolyn.  A while back Carolyn kindly offered to stitch one of my USA charts for me.  I loved designing them but as a Brit, I felt they really should be stitched by an American.  I know it shouldn't matter but that is what felt right in my mind, and you must know by know what a confusing place that is!

Poor Carolyn: she had housemoves and all sorts going on and stitching my chart was probably the last thing in the world she needed to be doing, but yesterday it arrived.  And it didn't come alone!

Carolyn sent me:

Yup! Tinkerbell!!!

Oh and I also received a sewing kit which went straight into my bag so I didn't get a piccie!
How amazingly generous is this.  The pink fabric will go towards fund raising for breastcancer awareness/research.
And what did Carolyn stitch for me?

She stitched this on 32 count Belfast Linen in Summer Khaki.

I then turned it to this, which will be sent back to Carolyn as a thank you xxx

The four mini charts which will come with this one are....

They will all be in one chartpack which will be available by the end of the week as will the website!
Phew, it is all go!

Do you like the charm?

Well that came in another piece of wonderful post.  I know...I have been severely spoilt!

This is Nancy's Gingerbread pack which she sells through her shop, the Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe.  I love it.  I treated myself and I have promised Nancy I will come up with an Xmas ornie chart to match it all to thank her for all her support.  Despite her own flirtations with bad health, she is such a wonderful lady and I know we have all benefitted from her giveaways in some form or another.  One Christmas she sent a free chart to everyone of her followers!  Amazing!

And finally, after my weekend away, my friend Mona gave me loads of fabric to play with.  I know.  So much.  I spent all yesterday organising it all into colours and yes, I even colour co-ordinate within sections so xmas fabric is colour co-ordinated as is every other part rofl.

Amongst the fabric were these little panels.  I love them but don't really know what to do with them.  If you have any ideas at all, I will be very greatful!

Bunnies Galore!

Well, this was a whopper of a post.

I will love you and leave you now as I have so much to do.  I do have some finishes but I have to send them to their recipients before I can show you them.

Have a lovely week everyone.  Oh, one last note to annonomous who left me a comment in my last post: I am here if  you want to talk at any time.  There is no need to be hidden: anything you say to me will be in confidence: email me if you wish at  stitchersanon@yahoo.co.uk.

xxxxxxx Have a peaceful week everyone xx
