Boo!

Hi, 'she's back'!

I am indeed back from my holiday to Norfolk.  I have a wonderful time.  It was great to be home again.
We spent some time at the in-laws and most of the week based at a caravan park in Caister on Sea.
We were very lucky and were placed right on the beach.  And I had a lovely surprise as my twin brothers booked a chalet for the weekend to surprise me.  I haven't seen them in nearly five years so it was fantastic and I was really touched at the effort they made to see me.

The children spent a night at the grandparents and I got to spend an evening out with my little brothers and husband, just like proper grownups!

We did all sorts whilst away.  The boys went to a car show, Caister Castle and car museum (see a trend for the week here folks?). We did lots of beach walks, saw a seal in the sea, went to Norwich shopping and visited Norwich Castle.  oooo What else?  Went to Yarmouth Sea Life Centre, more walks on the beach, played Crazy Golf (wupped my son's butt lol...I am Crazy Golf Queen), and for the first time in a long time I actually felt relaxed.

I got to see my mum, my wonderful in-laws, my grandmother though probably for the last time sadly as she has dementia but I was thrilled that she recognised me on my last visit, and I also met up with some of my uncles and aunts.  We had blazing sun all week long and I had to wear my wig when visiting my gran as she would have never recognised me without it and seeing me with such short hair would have just frightened her. I melted..but it was worth it.

I spent some amazing time with my wonderful family and looking back I can see why I might have played a role in getting cancer.  I am such a stress bucket...but no more.  I want to enjoy life and stop worrying about things I have no control over.  And I want to go home more often.  I love Ireland but Norfolk is my birthplace and I miss it.  I miss the sea especially.

I went to a craft shop in Dereham....FOUR TIMES.  And left a lot of clothes in England so I could get my card making and quilting supplies back on the plane.  I was like a pig in muck!!!  I had a real ball.
Sadly I did not get much crafting done other than some cards made when I got tired...and although I have been back a few days, I am shattered so it will be a day or so before I will do anything I expect.  So I will leave you with some photos.
Enjoy xxx

Count your blessings...I have not included the 327 photos of classic cars my son took or every single item on exhibition at Norwich Castle Museum (again took by my youngest son) and every single fish, crab and turtle at the sea life centre...and yes, they too were took by my son.

Right,  back to real life xx  Have a great week everyone!
